The first TadChorale concert in this series opens with a performance of the secular oratorio "Sacrifices" composed and conducted by Patrick Lee.

This very moving choral work was written to commemorate the centenary of the 1914-1918 Great War, and consists of eight poems set to music, linked by the writings of men who lived and fought in that war. We are honoured and proud to have the composer conducting his own composition, for what is only the second performance of this secular oratorio and also a world première of the version with 2-piano accompaniment.

St. Mary’s Church is situated on Boston Spa High Street (A659) at the western end of the shopping centre, and one mile east of Jct 45 of the A1(M).
