Robert Ramskill - Prelude No. 16 in B flat minor

Other Information

The long-term plan is to write 24 preludes but individual pieces will be released as and when complete. Here is a very angry-sounding B flat minor prelude to get the ball rolling!

In line with the example set by Debussy in his Pr ludes, the title used is a mere suggestion and so, in the score, appears at the end of the piece not at the start. This B flat minor prelude is end-titled: (... yours disgusted of Tunbridge Wells).

This prelude was given its world premi re by Julian Hellaby [pictured left] at St Martin within Ludgate in the City of London [pictured below left] on 4th November 2013 with a second performance at the Ellen Terry Building of the University of Coventry [pictured below right] two days later.

The recording is a computer-generated one but Julian Hellaby s performance at Coventry can be viewed by pressing the YouTube link below. This prelude appears at: 8:09.
