Written for the popular series of Countertenor s Christmas concerts held at Evangelische Vers hnungskirche, Ehrenfeld in K ln, Germany by Joachim Diessner von Isensee and his remarkable set of soloist friends and guests: Ute Eisenhut, Melissa Hegney and Arnon Zlotnik with Markus M rkl on the organ. This is one of several compositions featured in K ln over the years but following, in particular, the very successful premi re performances of "The Christ-childwith Dame Emma Kirkby and Herr Diessner in December 2012 and preceding "Nunc gaudet Maria[SSAA + Organ/Piano] in 2014".

Make Thee a bed, soft, undefiled,
Here in my poor heart s inmost shrine,

My heart for very joy doth leap,
