Other Information The horn trio was written in the summer of 2019; but it draws its name, and inspiration, from the Rapture Song Cycle of 2016, which comprises settings of 20 of the 52 poems that make up Carol Ann Duffy's award-winning Rapture collection, chronicling the course of a love affair. The settings used here for the Horn Trio are, Forest, River, Rapture and part of Give from book one, and Grief and Art from book two. The work was scheduled for recording at the RCS in September 2020 by the splendid Scottish trio, Christopher Gough, Maya Iwabuchi and Scott Mitchell. In the meantime here is a Roland SoundCanvas version of the third movement. The opening pages of each movement can viewed in the Score (Extracts) pdf file. p.s. September 2020 - a version for Piano Trio has now been made available.
