Tarot Conway grew up in Leicester where he began learning the trumpet and piano and was encouraged to compose by David Fisher. He studied at the University of Huddersfield from 1993 to 1998 gaining an honours degree and masters in composition under the guidance of Christopher Fox.

His style could be described as post-minimalist but in fact is a real blend of styles. Influences include Pop, Jazz and World music.

Groups such as Ensemble Firebird, The Capricorn Ensemble, Kaleidoscope, The Wallace Ensemble and Navarra Quartet have recently performed his works in York, Leicester, Huddersfield and London. As well as composing music Tarot also works as a web designer and he is increasingly involved in projects to bring music and interactive projects to the web.
