The Welsh National Eisteddfod for 2000 being held at Llanelli, Ken´s home town, he decided to submit two entries, under different pseudonyms (general practice at the Eisteddfods), in the short solo class (orchestral instrument, with or without accompaniment) of the Eisteddford composition section.  His "Arioso" for clarinet and piano and "Scherzo", also for clarinet and piano, were awarded the joint first prize!

A year on, Denbigh Toccata for piano was performed by Rona Jones at the 2001 Welsh National Eisteddfod at Denbigh where it gained first prize in the piano/harp class.

Kenneth Gange writes: "I am providing piano accompaniments for The Fast Tracking Fiddle and The Fast Tracking Viola. These are methods by Mary Goodman, published by Piper. I was also commissioned to write an organ work for the centenary of the stone laying of Bethany Baptist Church in Chadsmoor on March 13th 2005, and also to perform it"
