My first ever SOP arrangement made back in 1992. When I wrote it I didn t know that the performance of the hymn would be preceded by Eva Hart s moving account of the Titanic disaster, but I was delighted at how my introduction, by chance caught the mood exactly! The song is so haunting yet beautiful and Eva Hart s story truly captures the emotional and personal impact the sinking of the Titanic had on the survivors of the disaster.2) Love Divine. This arrangement was commissioned for the 50th anniversary Songs of Praise programme from Alexandra Palace in 2009.
