This is an orchestral tone poem based on the opening words of the book of Genesis - In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. It is an attempt to depict and contemplate the night sky and the heavens in their various moods. Its length is ca.17 mins. and it is dedicated to the Bridgnorth Sinfonia and their conductor, James Ross. They gave the work its premiere in December 2019 in Bridgnorth, Shropshire.
