This short composition was written to open a concert given by an ad hoc string quartet in Stone Parish Church in Gloucestershire in October 2008. It contrasts two themes, the first energetic and positive, and the second slower and reflective, with the first theme reappearing. The coda presents superimposed major and minor chords, and concludes with a loud unison 'D'. It has been recorded to the 'Pure Music' CD by Voller String Quartet and has been uploaded to my website.
