Other Information Like its companion piece George and the Dragon, Helen Ahoy! is intended to provide stimulating classroom work, as well as being appropriate and appealing to school and regional choirs. Again the reprises provide effective two-part singing; though the demands on the singers are a little greater, not just in the complexity of the rhythms and extended range but also in emotional terms and in its classical subject matter, evoking all the drama of the Fall of Troy and beautifully capturing the bitter/sweet nature of Helen herself. The sound track is the first movement, Happy Families, "O they're one big happy fam'ly in the sky except on days they may not all see eye to eye ..." entertainingly sung here by Caroline Milan.
