Odyssey is a musical story and was the result of a journey I made by sea to Greenland,  the most peaceful place I have ever visited, (but it also, alas, has some man-eating mosquitoes - nowhere is perfect, I guess).  All that I experienced during that journey is somewhere in the music: storms at sea, my first sight of an iceberg which was truly magical, sunlight sparkling on snow and waterfalls cascading down the cliff sides.  Such a once-in-a-lifetime journey could only be set using a large orchestra.
